Drain Relining
Cracked pipes, displaced joints can all cause long-term
structured problems which will eventually lead to a
blockage or worse total collapse.
In-situ re-lining can cure the problem quickly and without
the need for expensive excavation. A flexible felt liner
is impregnated with resin and pulled or pushed in to
the drain. Once the liner is in place, an air bag is
blown through the felt liner and inflated to shape the
liner to the size of the drain. 'Bond to host' pipe
technology is also available via blow through inversion.
All liners can be hot cured to control the timing of
the operation.
Once the resin has hardened the air bag is removed and
a smooth pipe within a pipe is left behind. Any junctions
or connections entering lined pipework are cut out and
the process is complete.
A time consuming excavation and all the problems that
come from digging trenches is reduced to half a day
with little disturbance to the surrounding environment.
M&D also offer chemical resistant liners, flexi
liners for bends up to 90 degrees, ambient and hot cured
liners.
Lateral cutting
M&D cut lateral holes in the finished liner with
a specialist various diamond head machine tools after
the resin has cured. This ensures a full flow from the
subsidiary pipe with no excess resin being left.
The benefits of drain lining are:-
Minimal cost
Minimal disruption
Resistant t infiltration or root penetration
Minimal cross section loss
